Gay travel locations in California

It’s well-known that the San Francisco, Castro Area is a popular destination for gay travel. There are plenty of Gay bars, hotels, coffee shops and quality restaurants in the area. However, not everyone knows that the San Diego Hillcrest Area is also a gay hot spot.

If you find your way to San Diego either on vacation or for business, take a break from working the floor at your next trade show, or get out of the Gaslamp quarter and check out Hillcrest. There you’ll find urban gay-friendly venues such as Mo’s Bar & Grill, The Brass Rail and Fiesta Cantina. These are great places to grab a drink or some quick eats to refuel while walking around town. You’ll also find a number of furniture shops with interesting merchandise, although it can be a hassle to ship home. On the south end you can find lodging at the Park Manor Hotel, where you don’t even have to leave for a bit of entertainment if you’re looking to do mostly daytime activities on your trip. You can party on the roof as early as 5pm while enjoying the scenic view of the city.

Mark your calendar and take a trip out to San Diego some time soon. There are plenty of nice hotels to stay at, and whether you’re looking for a bit of culture or a few fun nights on the town, you’ll find the city just as enjoyable as San Francisco or New York City. It’s a fun town and a very friendly place to meet new people from all over.
